WebDec 22, 2024 · Created on December 22, 2024 "This device is currently in use" message -- with WD external USB 3.0 discs. I have been getting this message consistently with a Western Digital USB 3.0 Passport (2TB) disc which I just bought recently. I have been using it to keep files, backup, etc. on my Win10 laptop.
