WebI've used the sumac berries (as shown) in an old pillow case with maple leaves. I let that soak in my dye barrel for a couple of days and the bag of berries and leaves acts like a big tea bag. Then when I have the time, I bring the mix to a boil while soaking my traps. I see the sumac around here about right to cut and use for dyeing.
