There is a lot of talks out there on the rechargeable lithium batteries and I think this test may shed some light on the subject, see what I did there ; ). I was rather pleased with the results. It has a very high capacity but it also has a conservative maximum discharge and charge rate which may not work for your application. The higher drain NCR18650GA’s might be a better fit even though the capacity is 3500mAh. I hope it works out for you. It is a good cell. I have several myself. Stress_Test said: They rate these with a max discharge capacity of 5 amps. I don't know anything about the newer Surefire lights, but that'll probably be enough. CR123A are specified at 1.5A max discharge (3.5A pulse).
